Working with Licenses

JPAC uses Licenses to control access to each subscription. The licence limits the date range that the subscription can be accessed and the number of active people the subscription can manage. The license does NOT limit the number of user accounts in the subscription (user accounts are not the same as the people stored in JPAC).

Understanding your JPAC license

Date Range

Each license has a Effective Date and an Expiry Date. JPAC can only be accessed from the effective date up until the expiry date.

For uninterrupted use of JPAC, an expiring license should be replaced with a new license before the current one expires. JPAC keeps a history of each license that has been applied to the subscription.

Number of active people

Each license has an upper limit on the number of active people JPAC allows to be stored.  Once the upper limit is reached, new people cannot be added into JPAC. The active people are calculated from all the people in your JPAC subscription with a status of Active. This ensures that people who are no longer working for your organisation, but you need to keep records for are not counted against your license.

If you reach the upper limit but still need to add more people, a new license can be purchased from the helpful JPAC sales team.

Viewing your license

The current status of you license can be viewed on your Subscription page on the Current License tab.

If your subscription has more than license (e.g. previously expired) they can be viewed in the License History tab.

Getting a New JPAC License

When your JPAC subscription is first created, it comes with a default license for 25 people for 12 months. A new license will need to be applied when:

  • you require a license for more people or a different date range than your current license allows.
  • your existing license is expiring in the near future.

The friendly JPAC support team will be able to email you a new license key matching the requirements you have paid for.

Refer to Applying a new License for detailed instructions on updating your license.
