Employment Types
Employment types are one of the ways to sort People into collections. The most common Employment Types are casual, part-time and full-time.
To view the list of Employment Types:
Navigate to the correct page from the People drop-down list.
To add a new Employment Type:
Use the add button at the top of the list to create a new Employment Type.
To deactivate an Employment Type:
You can deactivate an Employment Type by selecting the edit icon shown below, then changing the status to inactive. You can also do this using the edit button from the individual Employment Type's page. Once it is inactive, it will be hidden from the main list, but can be found by filtering the results using the more* button. Deactivating is reversible; you can use the edit icon again to restore it to active.
To permanently delete an Employment Type (admin only):
To delete an Employment Type, it must first be made inactive. You can use the more* button to filter results to inactive or any, then use the bin icon to permanently delete the Employment Type. All associated data, such as Assignments, will also be permanently deleted. This is not reversible.
Employment Types and People
An Employment Type will need to be chosen each time a new Person is added.
Once a Person has been added, their Employment Type can be changed using the Employment Type field on the individual's page.
*The three options of the more icon are:
- Active: This will only show active Employment Types
- Inactive: This will only show inactive Employment Types
- Any: This will show all Employment Types, active and inactive.
